Torsional wear is n=1
By applying a special resin coating to Vectran fishing nets, they are less likely to become susceptible to sticky substances found on the seabed.
—-Results of fishing net adhesion substances—-
What kind of substance is sticky? The results of analysis by the Oita Prefecture Takada Shallow Water Fisheries Experiment Station are as follows.
Observer: Tamori Hiroshige, Chief Researcher, Shallow Sea Research Institute, Oita Prefectural Marine Fisheries Research Center
Observation method: The sample was placed on a slide glass, dissected in a small amount of seawater using a dissecting needle, and observed under an optical microscope.
Observation results: The observation results are shown below.
In terms of structure, it was observed that a viscous substance surrounded the fibrous material, with fine sand grains and diatom shells entangled within it to form a conglomerate. The sessile diatoms and protozoa are thought to have attached after the conglomerate formed. In terms of quantity, the order of the numbers in the table was the most abundant.
Observation results of materials attached to fishing nets:
Note: The quantities are greatest in the order of the numbers.
